The TEG Foundation
As one of the pioneers and leading institutions of higher education in Malaysia, Taylor’s has always held steadfast to its commitment of educating a new generation of global leaders while giving back to society. This has been in line with the philosophy of its founding father, the late Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Loy Hean Heong, that education empowers students towards making our world a richer and happier place.
In holding on to the late Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Loy’s ideals, the Taylor’s Education Group (TEG) Foundation, a non-profit organisation, was established in 2009. The scope of the Foundation includes providing financial assistance and aid for deserving students to pursue their education, which extends to various academic and non-academic scholarships, research grants, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and activities which raise the bar of education levels in Malaysia.
Through the TEG Foundation, Taylor’s will continue to provide financial assistance to the deserving students by allocating about RM15 million annually towards scholarships and grants for its tertiary arm alone.
To date, many students have benefited from the TEG scholarship schemes whose recipients extend beyond those who are academically superior, to provide quality education to students from different walks of life.
